Lebanon Iran match to be held without spectators.

Iranian and Lebanon’s national football teams will play without spectators in a game which is scheduled for tonight in Beirut, ISNA news agency reported on Nov. 19.

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has made the decision due to today’s bomb explosions in Beirut after a meeting with Lebanese security officials as well as representatives of Iran and Lebanon football federations, the report said.

According to the latest reports, there are 23 dead and 169 injured people as a result of two bomb explosions near the Iranian embassy in Beirut. The explosions happened this morning.

The explosion took place in an area in the south of Beirut, which is mainly controlled by the Iran-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah.

Iranian cultural attache Ebrahim Ansari died as a result of explosions.

Previous statement from Iranian embassy said that country’s ambassador to Lebanon and embassy staff are safe.
According to the Lebanese media, two suicide bombers are behind the attacks.

The suicide bombing had the signature of the Saudi backed Syrian rebel fighters who are engaged in a battle against Syrian Army. Most of the rebels are sunni-salfai jihadist who are well versed in suicide bombing and use it extensively in areas of conflict.
