Team Melli midfield player Mojtaba Jabbari , made his debut as a substitute for his Team Al Ahli of Qatar in the QSL and was in the wrong end of a 4-1 thrashing by Al Arabi.

It was not the best of starts for Jabbari who left Sepahan abruptly playing only a handful of matches from the start of the league. Jabbari , plagued by health and morale issues , was unable to join an Iranian club until the January transfer market opens. The ex-Esteghlal player then opted to play abroad as the only choice for him. A quick return to Esteghlal was quickly dismissed as the CEO of the club Fathollazadeh has publicly declared that Jabbari is not wanted in Esteghlal after their argument and resulted in physical clash with each other just before the start of the current season.

Jabbari was quickly grabbed by Sepahan , however , it seems that the player had issues in Sepahan as well and did not like the training methods of the coach.

Al Ahli is currently coached by the famous Milan Macala . It is the same team that Zandi plays in. It is believed that Mojtaba Jabbari is a direct replacement for the injured Feryedoon Zandi who will be off football for at least 6-8 months.
