Masoud Shojae-Soleimani : A shining talent in the promising Saipa team that has managed to surprise many for their performance in IPL league season 2004/05.
First selected for Team Melli in preparation for the final match of the group against Laos and he made his debut in that match with a great assist to his credit. The Iran U-23 midfield player is considered by many to be the next Ali Karimi for his excellent skills on the ball.
With stunning control and pace, Masoud Shojaei is superb at penetrating rival defences and creating opportunities for his team-mates.
He underlined his potential against Kuwait in this year’s West Asian Games when he dribbled past six Kuwaiti players to supply forward Arash Borhani for a goal.
Shojae was transferred to Sharjah club in UAE where he played two successful seasons with the First Division side. He made quite a name for himself before the La Liga club Osasuna acquired his services in 2008 to join his compatriot Javad Nekounam in Northern Spain.
Shojaei was a squad member of Team Melli in the Asian Cup 2011 in Qatar.
