FIFA Ranking May 2014

The latest FIFA ranking published by the World Football governing body on 8th May shows Iran is still number 1 team in Asia ahead of Japan , Uzbekistan an South Korea.

Iran with 715 points has also remained in its last world ranking of number 37 in the list.

Nigeria, Iran’s first opponent in the World Cup has climbed 1 place to # 44 with  631 but dropped 1 place to 6th in Africa.

Argentina with a total of 11784 points dropped 1 place to # 7 in the world ranking while dropping one place also to # 4 in the CONMEBOL zone ranking.

Bosnia & Herzegovina  with a total of 795 maintained its position at #25 in the world  Ranking while placed 16th in UEFA.

 

In Asia , Korea Republic overtook Australia at 4th , while most of the teams maintained their ranking with minor changes,

Iran drops 4 places in FIFA Ranking March 2014

In the latest FIFA Ranking published today by the World Governing body , Iran dropped 4 places to number 42 in the world  with 692 but still maintained the lead as Asia’s top team.

Team Melli’s long inactivity ended with two consecutive matches vs. Kuwait and Guinea. Further matches are schedule to improve Iran’s ranking.

Japan was second with 622 points ranked 48 in the world.

Team Melli maintains top Asian ranking.

In the latest FIFA Ranking , Iran maintained its position as the Top Asian team ahead of Japan an Korea Rep. , despite dropping one position to 34th in the

world. Romania is in 33rd rank while Cape Verde Islands is only below Iran. Nigeria who is in Group F of the FIFA World Cup 2014 has dropped 4 positions and lies in 41 position below Iran. The other teams in the group Argentina and Bosnia have maintained in their position 2 and 19 respectively.

Team Melli continues its ascend in FIFA ranking.

Team Melli jumped 12 places up the ranking table to 33 in the World and number 1 in Asia in the FIFA/CocaCola  monthly world ranking for December 2013.

Accumulating 720 points , Iran also overtook Nigeria which is grouped with Iran in the FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil , while at continental level , Iran is leading the ranking ahead of Japan South Korea and Australia.
With the qualification to the World Cup and 3 consecutive wins in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Team Melli’s points accumulated as others lost ground.
According to the latest ranking, Spain still leads the World Ranking , followed by Germany and Argentina.

Team Melli on top of Asian Ranking. Iran climbs to No.1

Team Melli climbed 4 places in the November 2013 FIFA/CocaCola World Ranking to overtake Japan as the highest ranking Asian team in the latest FIFA Ranking published today. Iran accumulated 650 points and ranked 45 in the world.

The steady climb in the ranking by Iran is the result of a series of wins in the two official competitions,  FIFA World Cup 2014 and the AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualification rounds. Team Melli was on a terrific run unmatched by any Asian teams and as a result, it has climbed on the top of Asian Ranking, a feat which has not been achieved for many years.

Japan, with 638 points dropped 4 places to 48 while South Korea came in third in Asia with 577 points and 54 in the world ranking. Australia is fourth with 564 points and ranked 59.

Team Melli currently is not scheduled to play any matches until the last game in the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Kuwait next year.

Currently, there is no news on any friendly matches either.
