Farshad Peyous started his professional career at Rah Ahan club in 1980. In 1984 he joined Niro Havae Club (Airforce Club) and was an instant hit scoring 24 goals in the league. That sort of scoring record attracted a lot of attention beginning from the National Team selectors to the big clubs like Perspolis.
Peyous joined Perspolis in 1985
He was top scorer of Azadegan League in 1991/92 season with 11 goals and in 1994/95 season with 20 goals. He was also the top scorer of Al Ahli club in the Qatari League during the 1988/89 season with 9 goals.
Currently he is Persepolis FC's all-time top goal scorer, having scored 153 goals in 212 games.
He made his Team Melli debut on June 25, 1984 in a friendly against China, and his last cap was on October 9, 1994 in Asian Games against Yemen.
