Match report
Coach : Amir GHALENOEI
------------------------------------------

The match was a huge burden for Iran as they have to travel more than 10,000 km for a meaningless friendly according to Ghalenoei who tried in vain to cancel it. To make the matter worst, the match was not in the Capital city Mexico , but a 400 km away to add to the frustration and the fatigue of Iranian players.

Ghalenoei had a weaken team because many players had club commitments, especially the legionnaires.

Mexico had no problems in crushing Iran 4-0 in Saturday 's friendly that served as the debut of striker Nery Castillo.

Jared Borgetti at 95 seconds at 27 Jaime Lozano , Francisco Fonseca at 81 and Gerardo Torrado at 84 were the scorers for Mexico , which ended a 4-1 run under the command of coach Hugo Sanchez. The Aztecs fell to the U.S. and then beat Venezuela , Ecuador and Paraguay .

Castillo, who plays for Olympiacos Greek , was selected by Mexican coaches for almost four years, but until now could make his debut for the '' Tri '' . Coincidentally , his debut was in this city located 400 kilometers north of the capital, where he was born 22 years ago.

'' I am very happy for having debuted , I thank everyone for the support. We did what we needed, a good game with good football , we are on track ,'' said Castillo.

Castillo participated in the first attack when he took a shot at arc area but parried by the goalkeeper Seyed Mehdi Rahmati . The loose ball went to Lozano , who deceived the goalkeeper , but left it to run to Borgetti , who just stabbed the ball back into the net .

It was the 41st for Mexico both for Borgetti Aztec , who established himself as the top scorer in the history.

After that goal , the game fell into a slump , with few arc attempts from both sides and even with a slight dominance for the visitors, one such occasions was the a shot by Fereydoon Zandi which Guillermo Ochoa deflected for a corner .

Mexico bulged the net in the 27th minute when Fernando Arce took the left side and sent a low cross into the heart of the area, where Lozano was swept and managed to tap the ball to make it 2-0 .

Borgetti wasted a good chance when he shot inside the penalty area, near the end of the first half.

In the second half , Mexico started weak, but improved a lot in the final 15 minutes in which time it dominated the match against the tired Iranian team.

The play of the third goal was all of Andres Guardado, who took the left side and took off two men at the entrance of the area before serving precise center to the arrival of Kikin '' '' , who headed the ball inside the net for a solid 3-0 lead .

Torrado made a play castle wall and before entering the area took a lob that beat the keeper 's outstretched hands to seal a 4-0 win
