Team Melli opener at the Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles, against New Zealand will be refereed by the Mexican César Arturo Ramos.
The 42-year-old Mexican international referee has refereed in the FIFA World Cup 2018 and 2022. He refereed the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-final match between France and Morocco on 14 December.

Ramos was the referee of Team Melli’s match against Oman in AFC Asian Cup 2019

Ramos will be assisted by compatriots Alberto Morin and Marco Bisguerra.
