The board of directors of the Football Federation (FFIRI) held a meeting today, Wednesday, in the presence of Amir Ghalenoei. The board decided to extend the contract of the head coach until the end of the Asian Cup.
Ghalenoei presented a master plan in this meeting entitled the roadmap for preparing the national team for the Asian Cup 2027.
The 19th Asian Cup will be hosted by Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027 . Under Ghalenoei, Team Melli's last participation in 2023 was elimination in the semi-final after the loss to Qatar.
