Zahedi was a graduate of Persepolis Youth Academy. He played for the club at senior level in 2004.
since then, he changed several clubs in as many countries starting with Machine Sazi, Icelandic club ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar, becoming the first Iranian club to play in Iceland.
Then moved on to Suwon Samsung Bluewings in South Korea, Olimpik Donetsk, Zorya Luhansk (both in Ukraine), Puskás Akadémia FC in Hungary, and finally returned to Iran to join Persepolis in season 2023/24 as a player on loan.
