Nazari was another product of the football rich Khuzestan province. Born in Abadan where he played his early football in Sepah Abadan team.
It was his transfer to Sanat Naft in 1974 , a major club in Khuzestan, where Nazari caught the eyes with his solid defending.
Selected for the Iran's youth team, Nazari was the Capitan of the team that won the Asian Youth Cup in Kuwait.
In 1975 , he transferred to Taj Tehran where he became a famous player and at the age of 19 Nazari was invited to the
national team. He made his mark in Iran’s football by being a part of the 1976 Asian Cup championship team and played in Iran’s first world cup in 1978.
Nazari played his club games at Esteghlal (formerly known as Taj) and ended his playing career in UAE and Qatar. He also had a short career in USA playing for the Dallas Americans.
