Nourian first came into prominence when he joined Tehran Javan which was coached by the famous Hossein Fekri. Nourian was playing football in Amir Kabir school when he was spotted by the headmaster who happened to be Hossein Fekri and promptly took him to his team. Nourian was 16 when he joined Tehran Javan.

Fekri revived Daraei club and took Nourian with him to form a formidable team

He was first selected for Team Melli in 1957 but did not make his official debut until 1959.

Nourian was a member of the squad that qualified for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

He was also a tennis player and continued playing Tennis well after he retired form football.
