One of the stars of Iranian Premiere league of season 2002/03. His
superior performance in goal attracted the National team coach as he
was included in Iran's squad for the LG cup in Nigeria.
Rahmati was one of the main reasons for his club , Fajer Sepasi high
ranking in the league. Sepahan showed great interest in recruiting
him after their long serving keeper , the Armenian Petrossian left
for their city rivals , Zob Ahan. However, Rahmati's one
season stint with Sepahan was far from successful as series of fatal
errors attributed to him , meant a mutual agreement for him to leave
the club.
