Mojtaba Jabbari: a talented midfield player who first came to
prominence while playing league football for Abo Moslem Khorasan club in
Mashad.
His performance earned him several calls to team Melli camps , but did
not make his debut until Feb 05 against Bosnia.
He was the pillar of the B team that played in the inaugural Islamic
solidarity games in Saudi Arabia.
He was transferred to Esteghal Club in Tehran at the beginning of the
2005/06 season.
In his first season with the club he was recognized as one of the best
players in the league. His sterling performance including several
assists and goals for Esteghlal
, helped the club to win its first ever IPL.
Despite his performance , Jabbari was unlucky to miss the World Cup 2006
squad due to an injury.
