
Arash Borhani
has taken the Iranian football by storm when he
starred in the Olympic Qualifying matches against Uzbekistan. Borhani
managed to score 4 goals in the 2 matches and quickly attracted
attention from every point, not to mention, the national team coaches.
As a member of the promising and highly talented Iranian Olympic
football team, Borhani is expecting a debut in the national team , with
the help and support of the national Team coach, Homayoun Shahrokhi, who
was also happened to be his club coach.
Borhani's performance in this season IPL has confirmed his position as a
truly talented striker. Although he had limited appearances in the star
studded Pas club, he managed to perform well enough to win an accolade.
"The most promising young star of the Iranian Premier League."
Recently (December 2005) he was one of the stars in Iran's "B" team
which won the bronze medal in the West Asian Games in Doha , Qatar.
Borhani was the was the top scorer in the football tournament.
Although in this season (2005/06) he was less prominent in Pas , he
nevertheless managed to score some spectacular goals. Rumors are rife of
his impending departure to a foreign club perhaps after the Word Cup.
Borhani joined Al Nasr club in the UAE league on loan after the World
Cup but his performance was below par and Al NAsr soon released him back
to his club Pas after the mid season (January 2007)
